Terms of business
How we work with you, how we are paid, and what each side is responsible for.

About these terms
These terms govern the consultancy Save My Utility Ltd provides to your business. Company number [to be confirmed], registered office 50 Cambridge Road, Barking, IG11 8FG.
They apply from the point you ask us to quote. If we agree anything different in writing, the written agreement takes precedence over this page.
Our service is for businesses. It is not a consumer service, so consumer cancellation rights do not apply.
What we do
We compare contracts across our supplier panel, negotiate on your behalf, present the options, and handle the paperwork for the option you choose.
We are a consultancy, not a supplier. Your contract for the supply itself is with the supplier, on their terms, and they are responsible for the supply, the billing and the service under it.
What we need from you
Accurate, current information — bills, meter numbers, consumption and contract end dates. Quotes are built on what you give us, so a rate can move if the underlying detail turns out to be different.
Authority to act. Where a supplier requires a letter of authority we will ask for one, and it only ever covers obtaining information and arranging the contract you approved.
How we are paid
You pay us nothing directly. The supplier pays us a commission when a contract we arranged goes live.
We disclose the commission on a contract before you sign it. If you would rather see it earlier, ask and we will tell you.
Commission does not change what you are quoted after the fact — the rate you approve is the rate that goes to the supplier.
Quotes and prices
Supplier prices move during the day and most quotes are only held for a short window, which we state when we send them. A quote is an invitation to proceed, not a binding offer, until the supplier accepts the contract.
Any saving we describe is a comparison against your current or projected rates on the information available at the time. It is an estimate, not a guarantee, because your actual bill depends on how much you use.
Our liability
We take reasonable care and skill in the advice we give. We are not liable for a supplier's acts or omissions, for an interruption to your supply, or for losses arising from information you gave us that turned out to be inaccurate.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability is limited to the commission we received on the contract concerned.
Ending the arrangement
You can stop using our service at any time by telling us. Contracts already arranged with a supplier continue on that supplier's terms.
We may decline or stop work where we cannot obtain accurate information, or where continuing would put us in breach of a supplier's requirements or the law.
Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong, our complaints procedure explains how to raise it and what happens next.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
